It's Ottawa's Countryside's Fall & Winter Season!
Special Upcoming Event: Carp Farmers’ Christmas Market
Ring out the bells, mark up your calendars, and ring in the dates of this year’s Carp Farmers’ Christmas Market which will run from Friday, December 5th (3 p.m to 8 p.m) and Saturday December 6th (8 a.m to 2 p.m) in Carp’s centrally located Fairgrounds.
There’s no admission, lots of free parking, and it’s wheelchair accessible.
This year the market will feature over sixty booths. Shoppers can browse to their hearts’ content over a huge selection of local, high quality products. Everything from quality cuts of fresh meat (lamb, beef, pork and elk), eggs, veggies, apples, jams, jellies, preserves, honey and bee’s wax products to a wide range of crafts: pottery, table runners and mats, children’s clothing and hand-crafted toys, alpaca products, jewelry, natural body-care items, plus all sorts of Christmas wreaths, swags and centre pieces with fresh Christmas trees available from the West Carleton Fire Fighters.
The Market’s International Food Court, always appealing when energies are running low, has expanded to include a taste of Mexico with fresh tamales and enchiladas for those with a taste for spice.
The Carp Farmers’ Christmas Market has become a much loved tradition and, in keeping with the Christmas spirit of sharing the plenty shoppers are invited to bring a non-perishable item or two and “invest” in the 50/50 draw in support of the West Carleton Food Bank.
Easy accessibility, lots of local, high quality goods to gift, or simply take home and enjoy, Carp Farmers’ Market has become for many a seasonal “must” and it’s open, come what may, “rain, snow, or shine”.
